The project demanded estimation of demand for dredging in Malaysia, understanding of local regulatory framework, planning of equipment required and exploring possibilities of Joint venture or collaborations. Most of the analysis had to be based on primary data collected from various associated organization in Malaysia.
Malaysia is divided in three parts, viz; East Peninsular, West Peninsualar and states of Labuan and Saba. Primary data for past and future dredging activities at ports in these regions was collected including ports of Port Klang, Tangung Pelepas, Penang, Johor, Kuantan, etc. to establish dredging demand.
