| Eligibility criteria | 1.
Financial Capacity: The Applicant shall have a minimum Net Worth (the
“Financial Capacity”) of Rs. 13.60 Crore. 2. Applicant shall, over the past 5 financial years preceding the Application Due Date, have 'Threshold Technical Capability'=81.38 crores. 4. Applicant should have a minimum experience of 5 years in Operation & Maintenance projects. 5. The sum total of the Experience Scores for all Eligible Projects shall be the ‘Aggregate Experience Score’ of a particular Applicant. |

Applicant’s competence and capability is proposed to be established by the
following parameters: (a) Technical Capacity; and (b) Financial Capacity The credentials of eligible Applicants shall be measured in terms of their Experience Score. The sum total of the Experience Scores for all Eligible Projects shall be the ‘Aggregate Experience Score’ of a particular Applicant. |
| Scope of Work | Chennai
Port Trust is planning to engage an independent service provider to provide
the following service: Supply, Operation and Maintenance: i. The service provider or the successful Tenderer/Contractor will install, operate and maintain the Mobile Harbour Cranes at the cost, charges, expenses, risk, manpower and arrangement of the Contractor. ii. MHC operations proposed on Berth Nos. JD-I, III & V, WQ-I, II, III, IV & Centre Berth & SQ-I and SQ-II . iii . Unloading/loading - Operation of Cargoes from and/or on to the ships and also land operation by using Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHC) iv. Type of Cargo to be handled - Dry bulk & break bulk cargos, Steel & bagged cargo etc. |

| Payment Terms | The
Contractor, after receipt of the Letter of Award, shall deposit a sum
equivalent to Rs. 5.43 Crores (Rupees Five crores and forty three lakhs)
within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of Letter of Award by the
Contractor. |
| Special Conditions | 1.
It shall be open to the Chief Mechanical Engineer to nominate one or more of
his representatives to supervise the work and to satisfy about the quality of
materials and workmanship as required by the relevant regulation and as
mentioned in technical specifications. 2. The prices shall be firm and not subject to fluctuation at any stage till the completion of the contract. 3. The Tenderer shall quote separately for any items, which have not been specifically mentioned in the specification. |

| Time lines | Commissioning schedule - The
Contractor shall complete Supply, Delivery ay site. Installation and
commissioning of all equipment under the provisions of the contract as well
as deploy necessary manpower and complete all other allied works within a
period of 90 days from the date of their receipt of Letter of Award (LOA ) so
as to put the MHC’s in readiness for operation. Period of Contract - 10 years |
